By Candlelight: tribute to ABBA, Queen, The Beatles and Mecano on piano at the Acuario de Gijón

On the night of Saturday, December 19, the A la Luz de las Velas concert series dedicates its concert at the Bioparc Acuario de Gijón to four essential pop groups: ABBA, The Beatles, Queen and Mecano. It will take place in the aquarium’s auditorium, with the large fish tank in the background and hundreds of candles surrounding a white grand piano.

Pianist Sigfrido Cecchini performs a solo piano version of a selection of each band’s most well-known songs.

Program:

• ABBA: “Mamma Mia”, “Chiquitita”, “The Winner Takes It All” and “Fernando”.
• The Beatles: “Yesterday”, “Hey Jude”, “Let It Be”, “All You Need Is Love” and “Imagine”.
• Queen: “Love of My Life”, “The Show Must Go On”, “I Want to Break Free” and “Don’t Stop Me Now”.
• Mecano: “Hijo de la Luna”, the medley “Naturaleza muerta / 7 de septiembre / Los amantes” and “Una rosa es una rosa”.

It is one of six concerts that the series is holding at the aquarium between December 18 and December 20; earlier, at 19:00, “Great Soundtracks” will be presented.
