The Selmana de les Lletres Asturianes celebrates its 47th edition by paying a well-deserved tribute to Taresa Cónsul, the first known playwright in the Asturian language, and to the rich legacy of the region’s popular and traditional theater. For ten days, Asturias is filled with culture through a diverse program that includes theatrical performances, round tables, book presentations, and unique concerts.
Program Highlights
- Concierto de les Lletres Asturianes: An unmissable event featuring the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias (OSPA) and the Coro León de Oro.
- Proyecto Cónsul: A series of micro-theater pieces that will tour various Asturian municipalities.
- Cultural activities: Dramatized tours, lectures, and performances that explore the figure of Taresa Cónsul and the historical context of the 18th century.
The activities take place at multiple venues throughout the entire Asturian geography. For the inaugural concert, invitations can be requested through the official OSPA website or at the box office of the Auditorio Príncipe Felipe.
